Flexibility and functionality
Salto systems provide freedom to choose from a broad range of ID carriers including iButton touch keys, contact smart cards or several RFID technologies. When combined with additional functionality from Salto’s Virtual Network (SVN), users can achieve 90% of the benefits of a fully online system for the same cost as a standalone system.
Both key cards and locks can be programmed to allow or restrict access to different parts of the building. The information stored in the key card can be transferred to a computer to provide a precise audit trail detailing where and when each lock has been used, including the date, time and whether access was allowed or denied. Salto programming software also makes lock re-programming and re-keying a thing of the past, using distributed intelligence in lock and key to communicate wirelessly.

Compatibility
Compatible with ISO 14.443A, ISO 14.443B and ISO 15.693 (Vicinity) and covering a wide range of mainstream RFID brands such as Mifare, DESfire, Legic, HID iClass, Picopass and the new cell phone based Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. SALTO allows customers to use their existing RFID cards and NFC cell phones as ID carriers for operating SALTO controlled doors.
